Weeks in Review: May 7 - June 1

Whew! I can't believe May is over and June is already here! Boy, I tell you sometimes it feels like schools just want to cram as much as they can in during the last month!  But, we have been having lots of fun and I can't complain too much...

On May 7, Glenwood held its annual spring picnic.  We had lots of fun helping to set up.

There was a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new outdoor classroom.

Bella enjoyed getting a henna painted on her hand.

This is Bella and one of her best friends, Noreen!  Aren't they the cutest?

There were lots of cool exhibits and performances!  Check out the photo below...How cool is that?

Of course the next day was Mother's Day!

The week brought a trip to the dentist...who happens to have a cool red door...

The boys had a fun playdate with their friend, Chase...

Later in the week we had a playdate at Hannah's house...This is where Meredith likes to have her lunch...on Hannah's table!

She also likes small cramped spaces...

This is a fox we encountered in town on the way to drop off Cardi's overnight bag to her...

Bella and I ran lots of errands including returning the new slip cover which definitely was not yellow...

We took our first trip to the Farmer's Market (another post on that later)...

And these 2 sweet kids helped me shop for vegetables at our favorite road side market, Mickeys...

Cardi went to s super fun birthday party.  They got to stay overnight in a hotel and swim in the pool!

Jackson was invited to his own super fun Library birthday party!

I love this bookworm cake!

Afterwards we went shopping at home depot...

Bella had a birthday party later that night!

Cardi had her middle school orientation...

She also had a fourth grade performance the next night...

This is a picture of the superstars after the performance.

Jackson and John were invited to an orchestra performance at Chapel on the Hill where John will be attending preschool next year.

Meredith has been developing her own talents...She likes purses and loves panda bears (or at least a panda bear that belongs to someone else) and of course she loves books!

Cardi and Bella did their first sewing project...They made clothes for their dolls.

Bella had a great time at her friend, Noreen's Kung Fu Panda 2 birthday party!  They got to watch the movie in 3D!

To help celebrate the occasion, Bella wore her panda earrings!

One of our wonderful friends invited us to Clark Park for Memorial Day...

And another wonderful friend invited us over to their house for a pool party later that day!

Bella has been experimenting with different hair styles for Meredith...Any thoughts?

Today was officially Cardi's last day of elementary school...sniff...sniff...Tomorrow she is off to Washington D.C. for her Safety Patrol Field Trip...

Today, was the award assembly...where Bella and Cardi both received several awards...more on that later!  And my soon to be middle schooler just handed me her report card...STRAIGHT As!!!  Whew!  I think next time, I will try to do weekly posts!  I'm sure I forgot something...Oh!  Yeah!  James and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary!  More on that later!
